Default No dash warning lights in "Dynamic" mode, until "Standard" mode.

It has 145k miles and I have had the car 3 months/~4000miles or so.

I switched the suspension to Dynamic (to be lower) when we first got it, no fault codes. Last weekend I decided to try the "Standard"/"normal" (whatever is not "automatic", "Lift", or "dynamic") mode and after 2-3 days the yellow and green suspension lights came on (steady) after the amber one flashed for about 15 seconds I think.
I did not get the VCDS until I had the car a while (the first scan is under my username in test forum in case that would help). The car has never looked too low and always looks level. No unusual loads other than my fat *** (kidding, 230 lbs of pure muscle).

Drove the car (in dynamic) 5-6 times (~30 miles) since then - no dash lights yet (I'll try to scan again but have a busy day going).

So my question is, is this a co-inkydink or could there be a leak that is height-dependent? Or height sensor dependent?

Will I fry my compressor? How many times can it overheat & shut off before it's toast?

Can I plumb a 50-lb tank of liquid CO2 into the system to augment & replace the compressor??

YES I STFA AFM (All Farkin' Morning) very entertaining but may I say the search function is less than adequate? (Couldn't be my mad interweb skills!!)

Thanks,
Tom

For the beginning change your Brake Light Switch. It is ~$15 and not too difficult to change. Than save all those codes, delete them and wait for the fresh ones. They will better indicate what's wrong. May be nothing else. Be optimist.

Based off the DTC codes, your compressor is most likely taking a dump. The system shuts the pump off if the temp sensor reads too high, which usually means its running longer than it should to compensate for low air in the system or a leak.

Or the #1 failure mode of the WABCO electric air compressor, one of the magnets broke free from the case of the motor causing it to run slow taking more time to fill the air struts and heating up the armature in the process.

After searching and thinking, I think the pressure sensor for the system (G291) is shot. It pumped up, vented, pumped, vented when I listened yesterday. Now I just need to get a new one in before it cooks the compressor. Wish me luck!

Drove on a 140 mile trip yesterday in Dynamic mode. No warning lights. Man this car is sooo nice for highway travel! Why are other cars such sheiße?? I'll try to pull codes later.
PS I've spent way too much time on here today! If anyone knows where that sensor is pls post! Paging Dr. Bently?? TIA!

Thanks all
Tom

Well done. No doctor, guru or wizard can help you online better than that.

-G291 Pressure sender for adaptive suspension

- Fitting location: The pressure sender -G291 is cast into the solenoid valve block and is not accessible from the outside. The pressure sender measures the pressures of the front and rear suspension struts or the pressure accumulator (depending on the activation of the solenoid valves).

The solenoid valve block is fitted in the front left wheel housing, behind the right side liner.
