We went to San Diego last weekend, the wife took the spare key, the remote didn't work, I unlocked the door with the key, smart key didn't work - no key identified - scared me to death. Got home today, changed the battery and everything works... what a relief.
- Key still start the car if the battery is weak or dead.
- Smart key must have strong battery signal.
- No need to reset anything - should work right out of the box after the new battery is in.
