Odd vibration during slow sharp turns?

When making a 90 turn I get a slight vibration, seems like an AWD issue? Seems worse when turning left, but may just be me. Any ideas?
One of the diffs, or maybe this is normal?
Thanks!

well, after searching OUTSIDE of the A8 area, it seems this is "normal for all quattros"
makes sense seeing that the car uses a torsen center diff, but a suprise that Audi would make a $80-$120K car that does this.

I'm not sure I agree. This is my fifth Audi Quattro, and none of them did that unless the diffs were locked. And my '00 A8 did not have that vibration on sharp left turns. Hard to believe that Audi has taken a step backwards with respect to how invisible the quattro drivetrain is.

My 04 A8 does that too. I noticed it when I tested drived the car. The sales guy didnt know nothing about it but he ask the service guy when we got back and he said that it was normal for that car. I was shocked that they would allow a car this nice to make such a cheap feel on make a sharp turn.

Same with my 2004 A8. The tech said it was the suspension bushings. Scheduled to be replaced on March 5 Will let you know how that goes. But yo are righ, it soulnds as if the differential was locking when making shap turns.

I cannot agree every quattro Audi does cranking on the sharp turns. In fact none of them do! The fact that you can hear some noise, especially cranking noise it indicates something is not right!
I tell you one story. One day after drifting a lot in a dip snow on my Audi V8 I noticed cranking sound on heavy acceleration. And in fact it started to progress as time was flying by. Guess what? Some “mechanics” were saying it’s “normal”, Audi suspected transmission issue and etc.
Finally when I got my hands on it and spent enough time on the research the issue was in the muffler! When I was drifting in the snow I shifted it :-) When I fixed it the issue disappeared!
Another story about the same car. On the sharp left turns I started to have cranking noise. But it was very specific one. I knew exactly it was the right CV joint. No miracle. Replaced and happy. No noise again.
In other words, I do not believe that such cars should produce any noise and it is “normal”.

They call it the 'Audi Shudder". On dry pavement, at full steering lock, the car vibrates and shudders because of the difference in rotational speed of the inside and outside tires. You may not notice it as much in the wet, or on snow. If your car does this, there is nothing wrong with it. If it is a sharp noise, clanging, or clicking, then it could be a problem. A gentle vibration? Normal!
