Here's the deal....my next design for using a Sony/Ericsson T616 phone....
Using the Bluetooth HCB-30 kit, integrate it to use the B pillar speaker and radio mute function.
But in addition to this, the following bells and whistles will be added:
1. Add a HCH 33 cradle under the armrest to mount the phone in it when there is a need to charge it or use the external antenna. I know it's not a good place to dial from, but you can always take it in/out of the cradle to dial.....plus you'll still be able to use stored voice commands (via answer/hand up button on dash) when docked to get stored numbers in the phone to dial via bluetooth, and use the answer/hang up button on the dash.

Mount it just like Audi did the V60.
2. The cradle supports adding an external antenna, use the factory installed phone antenna and cabling, hook up the phone antenna to the cradle.
3. Use the HCC-30 cable which would connect the cradle to the hands free system. However, since the system is using Bluetooth (and not a hard wired hands free system), this cable is not needed to hook anything up except the power and ground to charge the phone when it is in the cradle. So I will modify the harness of the HCC-30 and just hook up the power supply to charge the phone when in the cradle. The phone will talk with the brain box via Bluetooth.

Sound good? I think it will be totally cool. Everything will be Bluetooth, but also have all the great things with having a built in power supply and external antenna.
I think I need to go to all the dealers in the Chicagoland area and tell them to send their disgruntal customers to me for a phone system install!!!
