Also, what's the process of getting the car to recognize the sensors? This might sound like a silly question, but how does the car know which sensor is associated with which wheel?

Got it - thanks.

Their site says the 01-07 sensor are 315 MHz and later sensors can be either, but most the posts I read say it's 433. Who's right?

Default Interesting...

My originals and the new ones are/were 433mhz. see pic of one of my rims...:

You can see '433mhz' at what would be the lower left of all the writing if the writing was the correct way up. Bottom right on this picture...

He'll need the '5489508' ID (right side of valve in pic...)numbers from all five old ones to reprogram the new ones. These can be gained by a 'tire shop' scanner. May be recorded in VCDS, not sure....

BTW, the service from that guy was amazing. They program the sensors to your old ID numbers so the car recognises them..

Mention me (Paul in upstate NY)to him, he'll hook you up.

Hi,

can anybody confirm that the ID's for the sensors can be retrieved through VCDS ? If so, which field in module 65 ?

@K9COP: so these work for you with no issues (so far) ?

Thanks !
