People keep asking for clones of the original D3 S8 twin-five-spoke 20" wheels ... and I believe that nobody is making these.
Can I still order these direct from audi ? I know it's an arm and a leg, but I'm not going to wait another year for someone to produce these.
Anyone know a part number, or better yet, an S8 VIN that I can give them so they can just punch it right up ?
Thanks.

You can buy most any wheel from Audi. It's just a question of money. They have to be sold as "crash" parts too; not an uncommon damage problem.
Even at a discount from a dealer that sells that way, OEM Audi wheels in 20's run from the $700-800 range each, up in to $900's; again, that's discounted. The forged/polished ones are the most expensive.
Factory 20's are particularly hard to find used too, in most any style. The early twin 7's from the S8 are a little more available (style maybe, plus more volume of those early cars; different wheel than the polished sport twin 7 that is the "new" style RS4 wheel). I think underlying reasons are: very few A8's are sold to start--and fewer every day. Also, it is the largest diameter Audi wheel you can get that some migrate to, whether A8 afficionado's, or others putting big wheels on smaller Audi's and VW's.

I thought new s8 models had the twin-seven spoke wheels ... I did not know the twin-fives were still standard on the s8.
If that is the case, I'll just buy them from audi and be done with it.

I was ready to buy the twin-seven (replicas) last year, but when the 2008 S8 came out with those new twin-fives it was instant love! Sadly, no one is popping out replicas of them (yet). There are twin-seven replicas available but they only go up to 19"<ul><li><a href="http://www.hartmannwheels.com/1-425-895-0000/details/wheel/S8_-_454_Replica_Wheels-193.html">Hartmann Twin-Seven spoke wheels</a></li></ul>
