Proud owner of 2004 A8L 4.2q, Executive - Questions
Hello,
Just bought this baby yesterday, and i am surprised to see that it has absolutely anything you can think of . However, i have some questions.
1. Can i activate fingerprint option, via VAG COM? How (module physically present)
2. It says One touch memory not installed, and therefore, no seat memory and stuff. Can i do this also via VAG COM?
3. One of the back doors, doesnt t seem to send the information to the rear ceiling light, when it closes, as the lights stay always on.....
4. Phone present physically, but car says phone not installed....VAG COM can help me?
That's quite all for the moment. THX

I'll try on a few...
1. We don't have that feature in the US, but I have seen the VAG COM coding for it in the module coding screens.
2. Do you have the physical switch (in the front door panels) for the memory? If not, no go. If yes, then yes proceed to VAG COM coding.
3. I would first look for a faulty contact switch at the door.
4. Likely VAG COM, but is the phone activated to test?
Here's a link to a site with Audi coding. You can pick English or German. The German side is much more complete than the English side. You can use a translator like Google if you don't read it to get an approximation back to English. The newer VAG COM revs now have pretty extensive help screens that pop up when you run the cursor over the coding part of the screen, assuming you have figured out which module you are going after.<ul><li><a href="http://en.openobd.org/">coding for Audi modules</a></li></ul>
