Default PS Folding mirror won't fold—where should I start?

Just wondering if any has had this issue before—and do I need to replace the whole mirror?

The adjustment and reverse tilt-down work fine, but it won't fold.

Thanks in advance!

Try to help it a bit. Than pop out glass and dig inside. It could be just some loose contact. Check for power on that motor. Next would be to live with it and fold it manually when absolutely necessary. It's never too late to replace it.

is possible somebody/something hit the mirror and folded, in that case they can be reset by folding manually and then activate the switch when both mirrors are folded in.
try that and once they work fold them couple of times with the switch.

If one moves yet the other does not, the problem is with that mirror. If the both do not fold/pivot, the problem appears to be with the switch or logic controller.

Is there anything that would show up in VCDS?

Without inducing a fault in mine to be 100% certain, I am confident that yes, some sort of fault would show up in diagnostics if one mirror worked properly and the other one does not.
