What kind of led lights did you install?

P.S. thread is very old, but I have installed 2009 led lights on my 2005 vehicle and have some issues... It would be interesting to discuss about this.

You are supposed to cut a wire on each side to get rid of errors. I did it on mine, but don't remember which ones now.
Oemplus had a PDF with detailed instructions on retrofit when they used to sell these headlights, but I can't find it anymore.

Did some online digging and found it, since they don't have it on their website anymore

That's strange because I have already done this upgrade with facelifted rear lights and there were no error codes. They came out after some time. About one year later I had an issue with right inner light that had a water leakage problem and after that incident error codes came up.

Hello Amiko,
Tell us what you did to solve the water leak issue, it's most likely that you have a corrosion issue on the board of the light itself causing shorting and causing the faults.

Also just a note, if one does the upgrade with true Euro lights, meaning not the USA facelift lights, then there is no wiring of any kind to be done, just plug and play, plus the added bonus of the amber turn signals.

Yes I have installed EUROPEAN lights. As I am located in Europe.
related to water leak, I removed the glass (very hard and very delicate work!) And replaced every board inside. Old board had corrosions and burned spots because of + and - shor circuit for a long time.

Well, being that you had no issues at all for a year with the facelift taillights, then it has no issue with the style of the light, but in-fact with the water problem you had, being you replace "All the boards, in all the lights" it can only be the boards themselves, the LED's, or the plug end connections that plug into the boards, how do the plug pins look ?
