I guess you don't want the airbag to work in a collision anymore, eh?

Default REALLY don't want to break something...

OK, there I was with all the items needed to eliminate my rear seat airbag wiring light issue. All I needed to do was get the seat bottom up. NOTE: I have the individual seating option.

I pulled on the cushion. I pulled on the plastic frame (that has the seat controls in it.) Nothing moved or seemed like it was about to move. I put as much force on the parts as I was willing to do without guaranteed snap, crackle, $$$.

How the heck does the seat bottom cushion come up?? Does the cushion come out of the plastic surround or does the whole surround come up? Please help

I finally researched and figured out how. As soon as I get my car back from the body shop, I will verify it.

You have to slide the seat all the way forward/reclined position. Then underneath, near the outside of the seat, there is a lever, number 3 in the picture, that you unlatch to let the seat pull out.

OK. I got the seat bottom up and found the yellow connector (also has a little purple on it.). It was close to the door and only had 2 conductors, is that the right one? Guessed it was and did the fix but the light is still on. Is this something that needs to be reset by disconnecting the battery or should it clear automatically if the connection is good?

Airbag warning light has to be reset by VCDS or VAS. They won't go away automatically. Disconnecting battery won't do anything.
