Remote pre-heating the steering shell and seat?

Hi, Adding a remote starter seems like a difficult undertaking for a D3 A8, but all i really care about in Chicago winters is pre-heating the steering wheel and seat... before i get in. I doubt that would consume all the battery power in 5 minutes or so of heating up. Has anyone heard of something like a remote turn on for just the steering wheel heater and seat heater, while the engine is off, or if things could be wired this way?
Thanks

Simple. Before you turn off the car, you turn on your heated seats. The function is saved until the next time you turn on the car. So when you use your remote starter it will turn on the car, along with the heated seats and heat temp as you set them before you turned off the car.

I think the whole point was that adding a remote starter is difficult, so he wanted a way to do it without. One possibility is to look into the preheater available in europe, which has a gas heater to warm the engine, coolant and cabin. There are a few options for this, one that has a timer, one with a remote control, or one you can send a text message to. You might be able to adapt one of the receivers to turn on the heated seat and steering wheel.

I don't think that is a fusible idea. Steering wheel and seat heating is controlled by a computers (modules). The easiest would be transmitting remote signal. Problem is how to use it to command computers that we now nothing about.
Even if that is possible I would not use my battery on the freezing mornings that way. I would rather buy a pair of gloves and some warm underwear.
