Remove Rear Bumper Trim

To remove the rear bumper trim do I have to take off the rear bumper? (2008 S8) Does anyone know?

Yes. Very pricy if you look into it--typical crash part gouging. Plus, unlikely to be sold used separate from bumper skin.
