Default Replacement tires for s8

Time for a new set of tires and discount quoted me 480.00 per tire because they are run flats.

Any thoughts on better prices for a 265/35/20?

Do I have to go with run flats? Or can I just use regular tires.

Thanks for the help.

You do not need to use run flats and I for one would avoid them. The 275-35-20 tire options fit as well and offer some cost saving options over the 265's. Lot's of smart folks on htis forum can suggest favorite tire packages through Discount Tire, Tires Plus and Tire Rack. Good Luck. McBucky (2007 S8 with 50,000 mi since new)

I bought a set of 275/35/20 Conti Extreme DWS from Discount Tire a year ago for $250/tire. I'm very happy with them. I live in Michigan, so went with the DWS for snow conditions; I would suggest the DW's if snow is not an issue for you.

Default Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus

I got Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season (AS) Plus - 275 wide -- about $300/piece. Great handling in dry/wet + handles snow. Fantastic dry handling with crisp steering feel.

Good luck!

Another vote for the Continental Extremecontact DW , excellent ride, and wear with very low noise.

I have had them on for a year now.
