Scored a used (~50 miles) front left shock, complete with the oem wooden box for $250+ shipping. Along with it a set of upper control arms off an S6. Yay cheap replacement parts.

Default Audi Dealership techs not knowing what to do

I recently took my car to an audi dealership to have one tire replaced and they said I have to replace all four when only one had a nail in it??? I was told because it's an 07 Audi A8L Quatro????

Why in the world would you take your car to the dealership for a puncture? Of course they’ll tell you that you need a bunch of unnecessary work/replacements. That’s how they make their money. Preying on the gullible.

Just take it to literally any regular tire shop and they will likely just be able to plug the puncture and have you on your way.

If the puncture is in the sidewall, it can't be fixed. Reputable tire shops will tell you they won't repair it due to safety and it needs to be replaced.
If the tread depth difference is greater than 4/32" from the other three, replacing just the one could cause issues with the quattro system. Also, if it's over but close to 4/32" difference, it's not a bad idea to replace the other one on the same axle at the same time. Been there, got the mug and t-shirt.
I agree on where to service or buy tires. Best to use a good tire shop (unless the dealer is the same price or less).
Also for Zeus, FYI, it's prob best to start a new thread for a different topic than the original one.
