Is there a way to disable the headlight washer in VCDS ??
Whenever I turn on headlights, the driver side headlight washer comes out and will not go back (even if I do not activate the windscreen washer).. I also tried pulling the fuse for it but made no diff as if its on a different fuse.
I had had an accident and had a local guy replace the front bumper, so it seems the wiring is messed up, but dont the connectors only have 1 way to connect, so he couldnt have messed it up ??

There is no way to disable wrongly wired washer by VCDS. You have to find which light is not working with lights and is coming on with wipers. Than switch wires from those two.

They aren't electric, they are hydraulic, powered by the wash-water, sounds like the return spring has come off.
There is a repair kit 4E0998136A that includes a spring, not sure if this helps.

I have looked and later ones are electric to allow one side to be washed at a time to prevent so much loss of light when washing.
Here is a good picture...

I recently ran into a problem with my washer as well... The front Drivers side one got stuck out. I cant push it back in either.
Dealer told me it would cost $600 to replace with a new unit.. I asked them to just push it back in and deactivate it but they told me they couldn't get it to go back in either.
I don't mean to hijack but any ideas what it could be?
