RSE wiring question...
Where would I find the wire that is the ignition dependent power source for the entire RSE system ? And very specifically which wire is the one ...color/location/connector/pin # if possible.
I checked the connector on the 'RSE Control Box' located behind the changer, but the two pos wires in that connector are hot all the time. I have been told that the Westfalia control box and wiring located under the battery has some role for the RSE system, but there are a lot of wires and I dont even know if it would be one of the wires on the IN side of the box or the OUT side.

Are you looking for a 12v switched power source? There is one pin in the front passenger side fuse box that is 12v switched....it took me a while to locate, but it's there.

no...
I am going to change the RSE system from an ignition dependent system to one with a hot all the time source that has a rocker switch cut-out. So I need to find the wire that feeds the whole system.

I just did it today for my raspberry pi and Bluetooth streaming using a hot line switch. Got 12v from the satellite .
My bad, I would go to the RSE fuse, remove the fuse and connect my 12v rocker switch to the other side of the fuse. Make sure it's not the power side. Hopefully the system doesn't turn it off thinking blown fuse.

I believe when you remove the fuse, the power no longer at the RSE unit. Check the power at the RSE after you pulled the fuse, it should be 0v. Now you can connect the power to the RSE UNIT with your rocker switch. I ran the wire from the trunk to the front so I can turn it on whenever I want using long speakers wires. I would put a same fuse inline with the rocker switch. To be safer, put a diode inline also.

Hello Louis & 91Q,
Yes Louis, you would be correct, BUT what Nut is asking is for someone to pinpoint exactly which wire is the ignition switched wire on the RSE main unit plug/harness so that he may tap into and set it up for power when the rest of the vehicle is off, he likes to party in the back seat !!!
So Nut,
As Louis stated, that may be your only way to find that lead, pull the plug and check all the wires and note their reading, then turn on the key and do it again, and pinpoint that wire, then pull the fuse as a double check to test again.
