A8's fronts are 360x34 mm. Which RS6 you are talking about?

Default Some confusion here...

The rotor size mentioned are for C5 RS6's, but in the rear as the Title line says. However, I don't think those are the A8 rear rotor size size with the normal 4.2. They are the size used for the W12--technically an A8, but probably not what most board members are thinking about--and the S8 (where the post started). What was interesting is the info that the RS6 rear rotors can be used across to the large motor D3 applications; I might have guessed the C5 applications would have had different rotor and mounting bracket offsets given their different (more aggressive) wheel offsets, but apparently not.

Default Could end up on a fishing expedition here w/ unclear results.

The C5 RS6 ones are 365mm in front, so a bit smaller in rotor size. I really don't know how the offsets would go in front, in that the C5 V8 cars (including the RS6) had aggressive offsets for Audis for the wheels, enabled by the flared fenders they had. That aside, might be hard simply to find. They started w/ only about 1,000 RS6's in the US, and they got totalled at about 20% per year--a very high rate comparable to the M5. I haven't looked a lot, but I don't ever recall seeing a used set of RS6 brakes offered.

There is also a C6 RS6 set up in 390mm, but the car is only sold in Europe. You can find kits supposedly sold on ebay.de that are specifically listed for the D3, but good luck trying to get anyone to respond about shipping, that VAT shouldn't apply, to export sales, etc. I've tried. Plus, pretty pricy. Link to the typical listing: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Audi-A8-Brems...#ht_1080wt_915

I don't see that Title line.

I like RS6/4 Brembo calipers. I just don't know if they come even closer to the wheel.

Default My experiences/input

In addition to my other replies below, returning to your original question, no I'm not aware of any two piece front rotors for the car. Your S8 shares its brake system with the W12, hence my history w/ it. It's a relative of the W12 Bentley front system and of the Phaeton. The Bentley just seems to have a paint job over some cosmetic casting tweaks and very slightly larger rotors. From time to time I peek at DBA's listings for their 5000 series rotors, but they usually lag by a fair # of years until the aftermarket gets going. But, these are all very low volume cars to support much.

You can get drilled and slotted fronts from brakeworld, but they are still single piece steel. They will list Brembo and "Disc Italia." http://www.brakeworld.com/ProductLis...&m=AUDI&mod=S8 I got a set via another member some years ago still in the original boxes. Ultimately I think the Disc Italia's are really a house brand where they re drill factory or aftermarket rotors, but their site is very oblique. I called them about some Mini applications and found them friendly and knowledgable. FWIW, my rotors (both front (Brembo) and rear (Disc Italia)) had Audi factory laser engraved markings on the edges, complete w/ Audi part numbers. The basic pictures of the look are linked via my autosig to an old detailed post I did some years back. Again, still steel though so there is no weight savings here. And yes, they are boat anchors; 20+ pounds each.

The post further below about the C5 RS6 rear rotors supposedly fitting was interesting. The W12 and S8 rear set up is basically the C5 RS6 set up, including identical brake pads, with the RS6 having the fancier rotors and the D3's having the electronic parking brakes. Here you would only need the rotors and new pads apparently, since you have the caliper set up already.
