Before I attempt to find out on my own, can anyone advise me how to remove these. Thanks. Also, are there any
illuminated ones out there for sale?

Gircal, I see that you have several New Threads regarding this Topic with No Replies. This doesn't mean that you are being ignored, but more than likely it means that We Don't Have Experience with it! My advise is that you go back and Delete/Erase your Previous Threads and try not to Duplicate Them when you don't get Answers. Instead I would use Key Words in the Search Tool and read any Post that deals with that Topic. You may find that it has been addressed in other Audi Models in this Forum, but if not then just keep asking in the same Thread until someone answers. I'm quite sure that if you've Searched the Forum, that you've seen the attached Thread which is the only one that I've ever seen regarding your questions. As to Removing the Part itself, you may not get an answer since it isn't a Trim Piece that Fails or Breaks so more than likely you won't get an answer there either. As alsways, the Best Advise is to buy the Bentley Service Manual and Vag-Com because you will never have to ask How To! Have a Happy New Year and laters,

1 - Front cover strip
First unclip at top, then pull out at bottom from sill panel cover sideways.
2 - Rear cover strip
First unclip at top, then pull out at bottom from sill panel cover sideways.

it doesn't go as planned in the instructions. I ruined the first sill I removed, it didn't matter since I was installing the lighted ones, but if you need to put yours back on the car I suggest you call me and I'll explain the removal technique I developed and the type of tool to use.
