I've got a 2008 S8 and have started to notice a rough idle on cold starts. It goes away as the car warms up, but is just annoying. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

According to this Audi page it doesn't look like the '08s are currently believed to be impacted.

My 2008 S8 was at the dealer yesterday Jan. 15 and there were no outstanding recalls on the car.

Thanks for the link to the recall! I guess I'll just mention it to the dealer the next time I bring it in - I'm sure they'll tell me it's just working normally.

The 2008 S8 in our family seems to have rough idle at times too when cold. Presumed it had something to do with an emissions setting related to pollution control but maybe not.

Yes, you will probably get the "operating within normal specifications" on your repair order like we did with the a/c as it blows lukewarm air under certain conditions.

Might have just been on the 4.2 though. You might look for it and see what it says; think it may have been a reflash of the ECU.
