Default Is it safe to attach to the center console?

Have looked at the Bentley diagrams and it's hard to tell what, if anything, is behind the console.

I'd like to attach something with a couple of screws to the location the arrow is pointing to.
Heresy I know, but it needs to be secure and am not sure 3M Dual Lock would cut it.

On the other hand Dual Lock is cheaper than blowing up a computer or messing up a cable.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks- Jake

Well what is it you are trying to mount sir? That would help define what mounting screws etc? BTW anything you put there that sticks out will annoy the hell out of you. As your leg will hit it ALL the time. Unless it is a wire or something along that nature; but then you wouldn't need screws would you

The female side of this: http://www.blackhawk.com/Catalog/Dis...emale/1%20Male)

I haven't found any good way to carry in this car.
The storage compartments are either too small or not easily accessible, and I have the Handyvorb for my iPhone under the armrests.

Is that for a cup holder? If so might want to mount it a bit closer to the seat; as this would give you more leg room.

LOL, no it's a quick disconnect for a Serpa pistol holster.

I sure don't plan to!

It's purely an accessibility issue, and now that I know the car doesn't have double pane glass it's more of a priority.

How about the underside of the steering column? Your leg and knee wouldn't be hitting it all the time, the weapon would be less visible (unless you're looking for that), and it would still be quite accessible.

Just a thought...

Post up when you finally decide. I'm curious. I can see the dilemma.

Good idea on the column.
That may solve my dilemma of using a left hand holster when, for me, it should be a right.

Not so much looking for visibility as quick access and it would only be there when driving.
Lots of crap going on these days and my work can be very odd hours.

I didn't even consider the lefty/righty issue. I guess that's another hidden benefit of the column mount.

Good luck!
