Sent my husband off this morning to enjoy his Christmas gift =)
He's off for a weekend with the local audi club at Thunderhill Raceway. This is his first track event , I'm sure he'll have a great time - just want him to come back in one piece!<ul><li><a href="http://www.thunderhill.com/">Vrrrrrrooom</a></li></ul>

You just opened up a can of worms!
I haven't attended a single track or autox event in the past two years 
i've even once used my helmet bag to carry a bowling ball once :/
driving events are addicting as heck and i'm sure he'll have an awesome time. this year, i am really going to get more involved and have my sig. other join as well. gina, if you're feeling better, i suggest you go out with him and attend as well. i've seen alot of husband and wives come out and let me tell you, some of those women can drive! The local PCA here also has a women's day!
great gift too, btw. i get my Porsche Sport Exhaust system this weekend as my Xmas gift from my sig. other. No more sweaters! I can do with a beat up sweat shirt in trade for any car part! We car nuts LOVE car gifts!

Yeah, I was afraid that this might be the start of a new addiction. But he's already got expensive addictions, so what's one more... (they're all legal) =)
I did think about going up with him, but I figured for his first time maybe he'd appreciate going by himself. I think it would be awesome to take my car out on the track - not so sure my Dr's would think it would be such an awesome idea!
I learned a long time ago that any gift, I give Randy, that is associated with his car (or camera) is better than ANY piece of clothing! Up until now, if you ask him the best gift I've EVER given him, he'll answer without hesitation: his porter cable, variable speed buffer. Romantic huh? :-) (and that was an anniversary gift) LOL

Women, imo, will always see "romantic" differently than men...
for my bday, i got opera tickets. but, along with them came a set of Ruf machined pedals... to this day, she keeps reminding me of how sad i looked when i opened up the envelope and saw the tix. for me, at least, romance comes in the form of a block of 6061 aluminum pieces

This is the start...
w/in the week that he returns, you'll see streams of notes on his desk detailing weight savings with new wheels and tires, chips, exhaust... and of course, an in-car camera mount.
