Looking to purchase an 09 A8 L
The car right now is very low mileage with 5k
Is there a timing chain or belt in this car?
It will be a Certified Pre Owned Audi.
When are the service intervals for the car? and how much should I be expecting to pay?
How often for oil changes?

Chain not belt. I assume you mean a 4.2L A8L, which is chain drive for all FSI motors, which means 2007 and late. The W12 is also technically an A8L, but it has always been chain.
See the Audi USA web site in the Owners section for the pdf with all the service interval details you would need.
Other can answer cost questions since mine is dealer free 4/50 service as a 2006, and I am then under the old three year CPO service extension (currently only sold for two extra years if still available). I paid like $590 for it in early 2007. Audi service deal of the century for a W12 car w/ 13 qts. of synthetic oil every minor service cycle, and two engine air filters and 12 plugs (plus the brake fluid and the HVAC filter) on a 30K major service interval cycle. Someone at Audi lost his job I bet when they didn't realize W12's take...oh just a few more parts and synthetic quarts...than a 1.8L A3 or 4 from the era that also sold at $590.
