I have changed my shifter in the way that was explained by Mishar.. Putting in the shorter stick, changing the wiring, reversing the bezel with a U.K. Model, etc. It ran well for a couple of months but now it seems to be sticking a bit. Every now and then getting locked in position. I have removed it on three occasions, greased and oiled but still I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. I figure it involves the (parking, reverse lockout?) at the bottom of the shifter. The rod that moves in and out with the cable, ramp system. Can you tell me how this operates, in the sense that the cable pulls the ramp and moves the plunger so I can get it out of park. On the other end of the cable, does the apparatus move back and forth? When I step on the brake to move the shifter out of park? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
