Shorted Radio Control Module

I have a 2013 Audi A8l with only 44k miles on it. A few weeks ago my Sirius radio started cutting in and out; I just figured my prescription was coming to an end. A few days later my entire sound system stopped working. All the functions in my MMI system still work such as my large large scrolling ****, navigation, etc. and when I turn the small **** it prompts me on my screen in grey at the bottom and says "audio unavailable." I tried rebooting the MMI system thinking that may solve the issue and unfortunately it did not. Took it in for service at our Audi dealer and they told me it was a short in the radio control module. They quoted me $2,116.42 for parts and labor! If I can't figure out this issue and fix it myself I am going to have to sell this car. Any help is greatly appreciated; is this something I could watch a video on and fix myself or am I screwed and have to take the hit on the $2k???

If the sirius/sm module is going bad, then it is time to change it.
That part is cheap. $40
OEM car radios. Factory stereo repair. Discount prices.
Mine went bad and I upgraded to sirius from XM. Reapplied the CD upgrade and all was well.
