Default Shuffle and AMI

Is anyone else mystified by the behavior of the "mix" setting in the AMI? If I am in a playlist and I hit control, then mix, the AMI immediately leaves the playlist and begins random shuffle play of every song on my iPod!

If I go back to the playlist, shuffle turns off.

Does anyone else see this behavior?

Is it possible to shuffle play a playlist?

Default Yes, it is possible just shuffle one playlist

Go to setup while you're listening to the AMI and set the repeat/mix range to "list".

Default Got it - but..

OK, I found that setting, but it really is silly. It's labeled "Repeat" - who would know that has anything to do with shuffle?

Oh well - thanks so much for the help, Rowlie

Default Re: Got it - but [doesn't work, for me]

Indeed (I also have always wished to do as Igball seeks here), for me not only is it labeled (merely) "Repeat" (rather than "Repeat / Mix"), but in many attempts since Rowlie's below, it has never changed the behavior of "Mix" that Igball and I want different... (--?)

Default I wonder if this was improved with the most recent MMI update (4140)

I had the latest and greatest installed a few weeks ago and I think it's biggest benefits have to do with the AMI performance / display. I bet that's why mine reads differently from yours.

Default Re: Shuffle and AMI - Sens8 - What is your SW version?

I have 3360, but I installed it before I installed the AMI. I wondered the other day if there were AMI updates on the disk that would install if I ran it again.

I've been thinking of installing 4140, but the horror stories of dead MMIs after install have kept me away ("If it ain't broke" and all).

Default I have 4140 - no issues on the install, but it was done by the dealer

I explained that it was what they should have installed with the AMI and they agreed.
