Sirius for my '04 A8
Just won the module on ebay!! Any suggestions on install? I remember a post (on here?) with pictures to help the install.. but can't find it.
Please, if you have directions and/or pictures .. let me know.
I like my dealer . .but am not a fan of paying him to do something I can do myself!

I think I have the PDF, I'll e-mail it to you, if I can find it.
It's like a 30 minute install and I didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn the night before. When you call to activate the sat. service be sure to tell them you want the 3 months free service. Hey, the 3 months free may not exist anymore and I think you have say the dealer installed it. Make it up as you go. Heck, XM still had me on their database from my D2 days and I had sold that after market sat radio to PaulW on the D2 forum.

Just e-mailed it to you!
I included an e-mail string conversation I had with another fellow A8'r out west on this subject and it speaks to what the dealership will have to do and what you have to say to accomplish the MMI upgrade, should they give you a rash of shvt!

I have the instruction sheet somewhere as well - If you still need it, let me know and I'll scan it and send it to you. You need a mounting bracket (about $15 from your friendly dealership) to make it fit right. Then it's a matter of plug and play in the trunk by the DVD drive.
The radio will work right out of the box, but unless you have the 33.6.0 MMI software, your stations will sort wrong and the radio will tell you it's updating station list for about the first 5 minutes the car is on.
There is also a setting you are supposed to change with VAG-Com to tell the car it has SDARS (Sat Radio to the Germans) so it will not generate errors becuase of an unexpected component. The radio will work fine without this setting, but you will have a logfull of errors.
I'll look for the instructions if you need em.
