Small Plastic Seat Part 2004 A8
Anyone know where I can order (or the part number if one exists) for the small plastic insert about mid-way up the seatback in both the driver and passenger seats in the 2004 A8? It is about 4 inches long and presses into the leather of the seatback with what appear to be 3 mounting pins. Mine has one of them missing, and while not a big deal, I would like to replace it if possible.
Thanks,
Thanks,

#6 in this diagram I believe.

You might check with them to be sure.
Mine is broken (pins sheared) on the drivers seat and needs to be replaced too.

Ah, thanks. Same with mine, it looks like it sheared right off. I'll email them to see if that is the part although the description references something on the back of the seat. You are right, that is the only thing that it could be in that diagram. I'll let you know what they say.

Doesn't sound correct.
Seems hokey, but I wonder if a bit of gorrila glue would hold?
EDIT: As I read through the list more, I think it is the correct part. For $24, might have to give it a shot.

Ask Lorree or Jake or Jeff over there to be sure.
That's what I like about AudiUsaParts - your not ordering blind from a catalog.
I've emailed Loree pictures and said "can you get me the thing the arrow is pointing too"
Part of the pins are still attached to mine so I've thought about glueing it back on.
Something you want to do before 3 cups of coffee and a shaky hand so it hasn't been done yet
I wonder if the new one will push through or what.
Appreciate it if you guys let us know.
Still haven't replaced my passenger scuff plate on door sill either because it has broken tabs that need to be fished out.
Now that cool weather is here I better get these projects done.

Here is the text from the octane website where she answered your question.
Eric, Thank you for your inquiry with AudiUSAParts.com. Sorry our online pictures are not always the best. I have emailed directly to you a more indepth picture. Holler with the number and if color matched a VIN of your A8 would be helpful.
Thank you again, hope this helps.

Jeff - Thanks for the detailed pics. It is definitely the part labeled #5. I responded to your email.
For Jakematic and AudiOx reading, it is part #4E0 881 849 and is colored so they'll need your VIN. Looks like it has a backing that the pins snap into, so I'm not sure just glueing it on would be an option.
