Default So remind me again what the V60 does with the D3??

I know there is a cradle that charges it....you can have hands free phone conversations with the installed mic and B pillar speaker.....

It mutes the radio, correct?

But does it do anything else such as:

1. Do the steering wheel controls do anything with the phone?

2. The MMI display has no interface with it, correct?

The reason why I ask is that there is a 17 page TSB on the Bently 91-04-03 titled "Telematics/V60 Digital Phone Diagnostics".

The first thing it says:

Condition:

The procedures outlined below will allow for complete integrated Telematics and V60 phone diagnosis.

It has you go through the "coded", "not coded" of each of the control modules....then it has you go through the telematics, steering wheel controls, radio, navigation, on star and V60....

I wonder if setting it up like the TSB states would change the integration of the V60 with the car.

It all looks very straight forward....it's the same screens as the D2....measuring blocks, adaptation, control module coding, etc.

I could do it if somebody has the V60 option in the Chicagoland area.

Default Paul, not sure if it is a comprehensive list, but a few more functions:

1. When the phone is resident in the cradle, using voice commands to dial a phone number automatically bypass the OnStar phone and use the V60 instead. When phone is not in cradle, OnStar phone takes priority

2. There is no 'real' MMI interface, but when the phone is in the cradle and you use the "TEL" button on the MMI panel, there are a number of voice commands that are listed that can be used with the V60 (Dial, Call, etc.)

3. Again, only when the V60 is docked, you can use the steering wheel's right button to answer and hang up calls. Once the call is active, and the radio has been muted, you can use the 'spin wheel' next to the button on the right side of the steering wheel to adjust the volume of the hands-free call.

Hope that helps.
