So my 2006 A8L has the AMI in the glove box, with an old iDevice connector, and I own 0 compatible devices. I have a Galaxy Note 2, and the wife has an iPhone 5. We would both like to use the bluetooth phone, and we share a subscription audio membership (MOG) but we don't use any of the native phone music players. What would be the best input cable/device for us to get? Just a 3.5mm cable, any cheapo on ebay? Or some bluetooth module to plug into a USB cable?
Thanks for any advice, I searched and it seems there are some bluetooth options, but I am looking for some advice from someone that uses their devices similar to us and any unforeseen things to consider.

I have this device ,ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000, it works perfectly, it even shows the name of the internet radio station on the MMI and dash display, name of the song and who plays it.

While the ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 is most likely a great device, check to make sure you use BT 3.0. I had about 5 different adapters for streaming and they all sound very poor (better than none) but the 3.0 BT adapters sound 100% better. try something like http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Bluedio-DF620-Bluetooth-3-0-Wireless-A2DP-Stereo-Headset-with-Power-Display-/221232609376?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item33827db860 You need a AMI cable with a 3.5mm Phone plug (male) to connect to these devices.

I have compared the ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 with the Bluedio DF620 Bluetooth 3.0 Wireless A2DP Stereo Headset. The Visee needs to be conected to the 32 pin cable, the Bluedio to a regular headphones cable. The Visee is around $100, the Bludio is $25 plus $8 the cable. The Visee is showing the name of the internet radio station, name of the song and who is singing in the MMI screen and the name of the song in the dash, it depends what info is being sent by the internet radio station. I have compared both in my S8 with B&O audio system, the Visee sounds much better, the sound level is also more powerful.
