Default suspension

I have a 2004 a8l and my suspension dropped. The display will not bring the suspension options up. The compressor works the air bags are good. It seems that I need to reflash my computer. But I have no idea how. Has anyone have any idea what would cause this. And the battery is brand new.

Welcome to the board!

I don't think that compressor and air struts are good. You probably have a leak at one strut. That will burn your compressor and the relay. Start with VCDS scan. It will help to find the problem.

I had the compressor out and I bench tested it. compressor is good. will that relay cause the suspension option on the dash display to not come up or be available at all at start up? because all the struts were good and I put the car on ramps and all 4 struts at the same time lost all air and I haven't been able to get them back up since then. The display on the dash will do every thing but go to suspension setting. Also there is no welcome display. What is vcds scan

VCDS is a tool that connects your computer with car computer and helps finding problems. Without it all is guessing.

The only way that all four struts can loose air is if you didn't engage Lift Mode and lift a corner at the time. But again, VCDS scan.

Like Mishar said, You need a scan to see what the faults are! Compressor temp sensor could be bad which will not let the compressor run. Or it could have a fault that needs to be cleared, before it will let it run. A Bad relay is usually welded contacts, which causes it to run nonstop.
You need a scan to know what is going on!
