Default Tire pressure monitoring

Today I was unable to access the tire pressure information. "Display Tire pressure" is grayed out and unselectable. System defaults to "OFF" even after I select "ON".

Anyone have an explanation? I have a long trip over the weekend and want to make sure everything is OK.

Have you checked the spare to see if it's flat or very low?

I had a flat tire put into trunk and TPMS went whacko. They fixed it, filled with air and replae in trunk, turned on car, ran it for a few and sensor "resignaled" ( wireless ) the TPMS.

Or you have soemthing else wrong.

Try resetting the MMI. This worked for me after I had multiple tire pressure warnings for no reason. At one point I couldn't even press CAR on the MMI.

See the MMI manual for the 3 button sequence for reset.

Default I had the same problem. There is (according to Carlsen Audi in Palo Alto) a.....

software problem. As a result, the MMI is unable to "wake up" the tire pressure monitoring system when you go to the MMI to request your tire pressures. They performed the software fix (this is a known issue to AOA) as per the AOA procedure. I have had no problems since the fix.

Default I tried that with no effect; in fact...

it made the problem worse since many other functions are disabled now.

I will try it again in the morning.

Default fixed it myself...

I had the same problem with my MMI after driving off the lot the first day of ownership. They tried the MMI software update, which didnt do jack. Then they tried ordering a single sensor for one of the wheels, that didnt do anything either. So I hooked up my VAG to the car. I found some error codes for the TPMS. After clearing the codes myself all is well. It's been well for nearly 6k miles. Fault codes apparently do not allow the software and hardware to properly communicate and function. I'm no engineer but that seems true. Hope it helps.
