Todays research project - Windshield wiper troubles

Re: Todays research project - Windshield wiper troubles
I have not had the problem you describe and have been quite lucky so far with my 2006 A8. After more than 8,000 miles I have only had a few minor problems that have all been addressed completely. Have you kept a written record of the problems you are having with the windshield wipers? If not you may want to catalogue each incident with as much detail as possible and then give a copy of this to your service advisor and the general manager of your Audi dealership and provide a written and objective summary of the problem and emphasize that you are concerned about your and your passengers' safety and the safety of other drivers. I am not sure what state you live in but I would imagine that you may be in a position to make Audi replace the car if they cannot fix the problem if you can trace the first occurrence back to a point when your car was still covered by a lemon law. You may want to run this by the attorney general's office in your state.

If the dealer doesnt acknowledge the problem, how can they fix it?
Safety-related items are covered by a states Lemon Law. There are requirements for the amount of time the car is in the shop for the same repair. TRUST ME! At this point, the state atty. gen. will take a report such as this and file it! We need to document this situation through a number of customers experiencing the same thing and then approach Audi with it!

Thanks for the word RE Heidi. My college senior daughter decided she just couldn't wait any longer and had to have her own miniture chahuawa. I asked her how can she keep it in the sorority dorm......but of course her boyfriend lives off campus. Hmmmm, I'm not stupid. Heidi stays their with boyfriend only, ya right!
When she comes on some weekends, Charlie and Angel have a "littler" playmate. I'll get a pic of all three at some point.

Charlie and Angel

Gina, I think it may be time to file a complaint with NHTSA. I've heard that they're preety good...
investigating these kinds of safety issues. Wonder if they already have complaints on this issue in the hopper. Just a thought.

Re: Oh My G, how they make statements like this when it's safety related...
The wipers do not re-start until a certain speed is achieved. Wait until the doors auto-lock and if it is still raining the wipers are supposed to re-start automatically at that point.
