Default It took me more than 4 month to complete my carbon fiber trim !

Hi All,

I want to replace the original wood trim with carbon fiber one and I don't like the carbon fiber pattern on the S8 ( Ebay got some used one for around $1400) so I order the carbon fiber trim on a website, I believe that's the only one I can find ! I order it on 03-19-2014 and pay with credit card, website said it will take 2-4 week to deliver. guess what ? they send me 9 pieces on mid of June, after that one more piece on first week of July. the last piece I got is on second week of August.

Here is some pictures of the carbon fiber trim:

Looks great! I noticed the aluminum dead pedal, do you have the whole set and if so how much was it, where did you get it?

Thanks,
Scott

AMAZING ! I replaced all the trim in my car with an Audi Exclusive set , so I have seen and handled every piece of trim in one of these cars...and the task of what it took to do what you did to each and every one of those pieces was enormous.

The large relections of the sky on the trim in your photos would reveal any mat texture if it remained; but there is none so you did the job very well. How many coats of urethane did it take to achieve the proper depth before buffing ? There are a lot of tricky inside and outside corners and also fit lines to get right and, at least from the distance of the photos, your trim looks like it could be factory. Well done !

Thanks for the picture. Are the pedals you got from Audi from a D4, do you happen to know the part numbers? When you ordered the dead pedal on Ebay, was that for a D3 or a D4? And if you don't mind, how much did all of this cost? I'm really interested in doing this upgrade.

Thanks again,
Scott

The gas and brake pedal is from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audi-A8-4E-Stainless-Steel-Pedal-Caps-Set-Automatic-A8-4E-2002-2010-Genuine-New-/331300750294?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d231043d6&vxp=mtr
The dead pedal is a universal one, just happen to match my new Audi pedal, but I look at the ebay today and I can't find it, may be it sold out already.
