Default TPMS

how accurate are the readings..just had my tires rotated and they all seem to be underinflated...was running 39/36...now I've got 33/30....

Default I've always wondered that

You would think they would be dead on being that they are electronic.....but really wonder....all it takes is a reading with a hand held gage to determine.

Default I never rely on the TPMS. I also run 39/36 and check it every month.

BTW, cold weather tends to "bleed" air from the tires!

Default I've found that they are fairly accurate. Temp difference?

I use a hand gauge when inflating the tires and afterwards the TPMS will be reading w/n a half a psi. You will notice the pressures change with temperatures. So Greenie is really losing any air in the cold, it's just shrinking ;-)

Check the pressures when cold, then see how much it changes after driving. The heat generated in the tires from driving will increase the tire pressure several psi (YMMV).

Default I have also found the TPMS to be quite accurate. In fact, I notice

that the variance in pressures is sensitive to extent that when the car is sitting, the temps on the wheels in the sun will be a little higher than for the wheels in the shade.

But it's also nice to know it's there to warn you of a leak or flat
