TPMS sensor part numbers/where to buy?

The TPMS sensors are dead or dying, but Audi wants $180/wheel for parts alone. That's nuts.
What is the correct part number, and is there a good source for OEM sensors/valves? Or is there a generic product that does the trick?
TIA

TireRack has the best price I've seen for a retail outlet (non-eBay). Keep in mind that they are only good for about 5 years and that if any one of the 5 (there's one for the spare too) is bad then you get the TPMS system malfunction at the dash. If they are at or near 5 years old, just replace all 5.
I just bought a set of 5 from TireRack for $480. That would only have gotten me two from my local dealer. I had them installed when the winter grippers were put on.

According to the readings on the VAG-COM the new TPMS sensors are good for 100 months. You can determine the remaining useful life of your current sensors by interrogating with the VAG-COM. The sensors are attached to the inside of special valve stems that can also be purchased from Tirerack if you don't have them. The only way you could install them yourself would be if you had a tire mounting machine in your garage. They are probably best done when you have fresh tires installed. A set of 4 including the special valve stems were less than $400 from Tirerack and they installed and mounted/Roadforce balanced the wheels for free when I purchased a new set of snow tires and rims.
