Buy a set of sensors and turn it on. It's nice feature. It was just ridiculously expensive to replace sensors.

Actually thanks to carlosMIA. He also installed them. Check earlier posts, same tread.

I needed new tires and new sensors. Audi wanted $900+tax for sensors and installation. $150/sensor plus $150 install. After reading the posts here I called Orange for the 433Mhz Sensors. They were out of stock due to a recent large order. They took my requested order and info and said they would call when more arrived in a few months. 2 weeks later they called saying someone had returned some and offered me 5 sensors. I purchased them ($30 each) and they arrived a few days later. Unfortunately had just had new tires put on since they were in definite need of replacement and I wasn't expecting the sensors for 3-4 months. I got the tires through audi based on shopping around here in the Charleston area. Other tires stores seemed to offer tires cheaper but there was a lot of bait-n-switch advertising. Audi said that even if I did have non-OEM sensors they would not install them based on a recent lawsuit. So I took the sensors to a local tire store who installed the Orange sensors for $28 each ($140). I selected Change Tires in the MMI to reinitialize the sensors and 10 minutes later the new sensor info popped up on the screen. Moral of the story: shop around for a better deal.

Audi $900+tax = almost $1000

Orange: $160 (sensors plus shipping)
Tire shop $140
Total cost of replacement: $300
Saved over $600

Money saved = new iPad3 in my travel bag.
