Those are 315Mhz and we need 433Mhc. Orange Electronic make those too but only as a set of four plus head unit. I’ve tried to contact them to ask if those would work with A8 system, but they don’t answer. May be you will have more luck with them.

On one hand that's a bummer because the price is really remarkable. On the other hand, I'm glad to hear they don't work because I just bought a set of 5 TPMS sensors from TireRack a couple of days ago. TireRack's price was pretty good, but not nearly as good as the ones listed in Oneplank's link.

You know, you could just upgrade to a D4 and not worry about the TPMS sensors. Of course you could fill your trunk with TPMS sensors and not match the cost of a new D4.

Seriously, I'm hoping that there is an aftermarket price drop since a lot of these cars will need replacements in the very near future. I would like to pick up a set of winter wheels, but the cost of replacing 9 TPMS sensors (4 summer, 4 winter, and a spare on 5-7 year replacement cycle) works out to around $200/year on TPMS sensors. It doesn't look like I can disable the warnings from my MMI, and I don't think I can do it with my VAG COM.

Right you are. The application guide only lists 315MHZ units for Audi. It's as if the A6, A8, Q7, RS4, and R8 don't exist.

Yes you can! It is easy with VAG-COM. Just go to Chasses > Tire Pressure System > Coding and switch figure 4 to 0. There is an instructions balloon too to help you.

They have 433 MHz sensors too. I only doubt they will work with OE system. Somebody with more patience might get that information from Orange Electronics.

Price is right too:

The values in the VACCOM for the sensors are in the correct range for having good batteries ie 174, 174, etc. Bad batteries will indicate a very high value which is typically in the 400+ tange. I had my batteries changed by the dealer and have the report from the VAGCOM readfings where they replaced a sensore with 458 and 757 on them. The rest of the batteries ranged from 069 for a brand new one to 138, 157, and 230 for the rest of them.

If a single sensor has a bad battery then the system will report a failure and you will need to replace the faulty sensor to restore proper operation to the TPMS system. Recoding does nothing asiode from learning the current reference values of the sensors to the system to use as a marker for loss of tire pressure.

Those are OEM and more expensive than a dealer online.
