I'm getting the "Tyre Pressure! System Malfunction" message. No pressure show up on the mmi readout, and I've tried the "change wheels" selection many times. Granted my, tpms sensors are old, but I was wondering if you get this message even if 1 sensor is not transmitting any longer, or does the mmi read out just not show the reading for the wheel where the sensor is dead. (They were all working last week). Guess I'm wondering if 1 sensor is dead or an antenna or module has failed. Anyone have the Audi technical docs of how the system works?

Thanks Mp4.2, that is exactly what i needed to know. Though for a number of years VCDS would say 0 months of life left on them, somehow I managed to get 12 years out of the original sensors, though they would once an a while disconnect over the past couple years on rainy days, but start working again. My aftermarkets for my winter tires lasted about 3 or 4 years. I purchased 4 more Huf sensors, hoping they would maintain that longevity again.

Maybe this will be useful for someone:
I purchased a 2009 S8 a year ago and the TPMS warning would beep and flash every 20 mins or so of driving. I would then navigate to the Tire Pressure Monitoring menu, select "Change Wheels" and it would go away.
Eventually it wouldn't clear. Also the tire pressures readings would never be displayed. They were always blank.
I purchased 4 Huf Intellisense sensors from TPMS Bargains. They come pre-programmed for the 09 S8. They are Huf RDE001 433Mhz
My local tire place fitted them.
When I got the car back I drove home 10 minutes, the TPMS warning was gone but still no pressure readings.
Then I drove 15 mins the next day and suddenly the tire pressure appeared.
So far, no more warnings and everything is working great. I didn't do anything with VCDS. I did click "Change Wheels" a couple of times the first day.
