Hi all. I started my car yesterday and it immediately began to idle roughly. Then the check engine symbol began blinking with the ebb and flow of the idle. My VCDS scan revealed a Camshaft Positioner (Bank 1 intake) error of P000A-008 - Slow Response. It also showed individual as well as random cylinder misfires detected. Is there a chance that this could be caused by a bad Camshaft Positioner sensor? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

What year and mileage is it? Not wanting to be alarmist, but the only other time I've heard of a similar problem was just prior to a catastrophic timing belt failure.
Proceed with great caution until you know for sure.

2007 has timing chain already, it's only 75k miles, I think the best is to check all the sensors wiring in the engine bay. Random misfire on all cylinders are normal when the engine idle badly caused by something else, especially check engine light is flickering (it's a loop). Try the simple thing first (visually check all wiring, sensors).
