Hello all! I'm fairly new into my 2006 A8L W12 (and loving it!) for about 2 months now and had a question about the factory RSE DVD system. I was wondering if the DVD audio will play through the cabin speakers, or can you only listen to the DVD's through headphones? Please help, don't want to put headphones on my 2 year old, thanks!

It only plays thru the headphones in the US. If you add the DAB/TV unit from the euro cars, it will add the Aux audio option and allow the RSE audio to come through the loudspeakers. I have the same issue as well, but did not want to spend the money on a TV unit that does nothing in the US. Different signal.

What another member did give me a idea about, was to get the MP3 AMI cable. Then you can just route the headphone jack to the AMI cable in the glove compartment and voila. Audio thru the loudspeakers.
