What does the double layer security glass look like?

Misha,
I have to disagree, I have "Sekurit" dual pane laminated glass on my D3 W12, and it is not tempered as can be seen by the crack I received after a rock struck the outside layer of the glass, my Bentley has the same dual pane laminated Sekurit glass.
Also on the Audi I have all the same numbers "E20/43R/00366" as Lee, but mine does not have "Acoustic" on it, yet mine are all dual pane.....

My right one came along about 45 years ago so I am pure amateur in that field. But they say it's never too late for the right one and always too early for the wrong one.

Wonder what the "ESG" and "VSG" means? Extra Strong Glass and Very Strong Glass?? Or what the dot system and the number next to it means? Must mean something.. Maybe the dots and the number is the month/year of manufacture? Mine is 6 dots and 9 which would be June 2009 which could be true as it is a Dec 2009 car. Jonny's W12 would be April 2004 and his Bentley would be June 2005? Maybe....
My back window and rear side windows are factory tinted as well as acoustic glass.. Perhaps the "Acoustic" nomenclature is to do with the lamination material between the panes. I'm sure I read that the "Acoustic" glass has a thicker gel laminate between the panes.

There is a ridiculously detailed set of specs on the manufacturer website.
I spent hours reading and translating from German trying to figure it all out a few years back
Acoustic is the lawyerfied version of "burglar restrained" and "security" glass as I recall.
Edit: If you ever purchase a new Audi it is not an option to pass on at only $600.
Makes a phenomenal difference in ride comfort by blocking all but the loudest noises.
Now that I have it I'll never have another vehicle without it.
