okay, so the whole family jumps in the car and we start it up... who's phone is going to connect to the car's bluetooth? The one that was paired first or the one that was paired last?

Lifo? I am confused....
I thought the circuit could only handle a single connection at a time. If that is so, then the only way it would 'prefer' one to another is if the discover remains on, and they units are prioritized.
I don't know enough about the system to say this ain't so, but it sounds counter-intuitive if it is so.

here's a longer version of my question:
In my BMW X5: I paired it to my bluetooth phone. It worked fine. Then I got married and I "gave" the car to my wife. I got her a bluetooth phone and then we paired it. Then each time we BOTH got in the car, it would connect to her phone, because the BMW's bluetooth kit "prefers" the person who was paired last. I had to delete both phones from the car and then re-pair... pairing my wife's phone first and then my phone, so that (because I'm usually the one driving) when we are both in the car, it connects to my phone instead of hers.
I'm curious if the A8 gives preference to the first bluetooth phone or the last bluetooth phone paired. Does anyone know?
