XM/MMI update letter

XM/MMI update letter
As I understand it from earlier posts, there is a letter from AofA regarding pricing and install costs of the XM module - i.e. pay fot eh module ($530 or so) and you get install for free as well as MMI upgrade, new nav disc etc. I do not seem to be able to find my letter. Can someone post it here? I asked my dealer about it and they claimed to have no idea what AI was talking about.
Many thanks in advance.
Also, as you can tell, I have so far decided not to sell my A8L despite earlier posts. Pricing was too weak and the lack of XM/MMI problems were some of my major dislikes. So, I really hope this makes a difference.

Re: XM/MMI update letter
I don't think any of the dealerships are aware of this letter. I'm having my XM installed at Nalley Atlanta which is one of Audi's newly designed flagship stores and none of them knew what I was talking about.
Like I have said on previous posts. I knew more about my A8L when I bought it the the salesman did. Not one salesman at any Audi dealers in Atlanta knew how the MMI worked. I had to show them.

Time to contact your advocate?
Just kidding, I couldn't resist ;-)
I got my letter early last week. It includes info on XM and Sirius, maybe AOA is just slow at stuffing envelopes.

I discovered the hard way the XM wouldn't work in the D3. . (had bought XM)..
now that I have had XM for a few months. . I have decided I don't need it. . . much prefer my own tunes. . .each of us is different.

My dealer knew about it...
Jack Daniels in NJ had the update info even before I even got the letter. I happened to have had the car booked for a routine service and was told about the recall campaign for the MMI update and the update available for sat radio.
Not sure if it's AoA policy or only my dealer's policy to offer the XM or Sirius module for $530 and no charge on the install.

You are speaking to wrong sales people and wrong service reps...
I have found both of your comments incorrect with the people I deal with at Nalley in North Atlanta. When I called the day after I got it snail mail notification, the service writer knew all about it and said 4 had already been done. I take mine in tommorrow at Nalley for MMI update.
