2013 A8 iPhone Text Messages

My brothers GL550 Mercedes has the ability to read your text message through his iPhone on his car. Is there not a way to do this with the A8? I would think they would have this feature. Has anyone heard of this?

I have heard it is disabled in the US and works in other countries. Anyone know of a way to turn this feature on?
