Puzzled what the meaning of "stock tune'' means. When the CPU's been altered with a tune yes, you can reverse the numbers, i.e. HP and TQ figures "back to" the stock numbers but you cannot reverse the fact that the CPU's been compromised. Therefore when the Audi tech plugs in the OBD a flag, "TD1" will be thrown somewhere in the protocol telling everyone the CPU's been compromised, tuned. Think about it...some think reversing the power in a modded unit back to stock makes it all fine and dandy to Audi. The CPU's been compromised, pure and simple. As far as voiding the warranty if the engine or tranny breaks and the car is chipped the dealer and/or AoA can make life miserable for the owner for warranty consideration. Tunes are available for the 3.0T through several APR, GIAC, Autospeed (ASP). My '11 b8S4 was the beta for ASP tune/pulley making about a dynoed 430 WHP and 420 lb-ft torque for the 3.0T 93 octane. It was scary powerful.

There are tunes available, in the 3.0t it's a supercharger pulley swap and tune. Easy enough. Be warned, it will invalidate your powertrain warranty.

can we say a CPO'ed 3.0T is a...3cpo?

Lol, 3cpo is pretty funny.
You have a lot of choices with the APR setup.
Tune only
with charger pulley
with charger and crank pulley
with intercooler
and with ultra charger.

Every Audi will have more power running on premium to my knowledge. Even the NA engines. Modern engines can retard the ignition timing to help prevent any real issues from pre-detonation running regular but for about $5 more a tank I prefer running 93.
