Hello everyone. I am new here and looking for some answers.
How can one upgrade their audio system in the A8 with external amps?
The goal is: MMI to digital audio processor via optical > Amp/s > Drivers
I'd like to remove all factory amps and speakers that came with the A8 and replace them with my own. Factory came with 8 speakers and a sub.
So the real question is, what component/s do i need to go from MMI to my processor?
Thanks.

I put Focal K2 3-ways up front and two ways in rear. A 6-channel Focal amp. An Audison BitOne processor drawing high output leads from stock Bose amp.
No sub.
Sounds fantastic. It was done professionally with dynomat, custom panels, tuning.
Looks completely stock other than no spare tire anymore.

But what I want to do (if possible) is to remove all factory amps too, also saves space and weight. so anything that's not being utilized i want to remove.

I don’t think the weight of the bose amp is worth worrying about. I’ve heard there is a way to connect straight to the fiber optic signal (ibridge) but don’t know too much about it.
I don’t think the upgrade components will fit where the factory stuff does.
