Default Adaptive Cruise not working - ACC and Audi Brake Guard Not Available

I posted how to remove my rear bumper, and was asked by a forum member how I diagnosed the problem, so I thought I'd start a new thread, and perhaps get a DIY going on the fix.

My 2013 A8L is stock and has no history of accident -- I have owned it about 1 yr. I took a road trip this past weekend, and in the middle of it, Cruise Control and Lane Assist stopped working. When I got home I scanned w/ VCDS and found these faults:

So, I believe that the Adaptive Cruise modules are fine, but are being restricted from working correctly due to a bad lane change electronic module (Part No: 4H0 907 568 A) that is preventing the Adaptive Cruise Control from working -- Is this correct?

It appears to me that it is the drivers side module located behind the rear bumper is the one that has a defective CPU. Any one else seen this before?

So, I believe removing the rear bumper and replacing the module is the answer.

I was hoping someone else has seen this and can comment???
