Default Anyone know where the factory build sticker is (besides service book copy)

Does anyone know exactly where the factory build sticker is on the D4 car/body? Whoever delivered the car did not put the second copy in my service booklet like they should. They were careful to do this on my Q5 during Euro delivery.

On my D3 W12 it is in the trunk spare tire area, but that era had a plastic well without carpet. My S8 has some rough carpet type material lining 95% of well sides and upper edges. It does not seem to be underneath with the battery that I can see.

On my Q5, by chance I found it just the other day when I pulled up the trunk floor (fixed on a Hybrid). It was under some trim and carpeting and not normally accessible but where the spare would be on a non-Hybrid. Makes me wonder if is under that D4 spare tire carpet trim somewhere, since it seems like they are always there somewhere for my now many generations of Audis. If there, has someone seen it in a specific area, so I don't go pulling apart the wrong area? If not, I can try to get my service advisor to run it out on next visit.

Default Found it; S8 battery side note.

W/ no immediate info, I went digging. Right below the rear trunk edge trim. It is under the floor area in spare tire well, but to get there you pretty much have to pull rear trunk lid trim. And if you do that, then actually spare carpeting does not need to come out and you would just pull it back some. Pictured below--the white rectangle with what looks like some type on it--I made picture bigger area so others can judge location clearly.

Basically same as my Q5 was--slightly to left of striker plate, and stuck on solid material. Trunk lip trim came up with a straight vertical pull, no tools. Only subtle thing was reinstalling and getting trunk weatherstrip properly seated on top of it. Again, no tools, just finger work.

As a side note, yep S8's have a 75A "small boy" battery back there. AGM. Only D4 without a big boy I'm pretty sure. I think all the others are 110A. Probably a combo of a few pounds out and no start-stop. But I looked up RS7 and they went w/ 110A there. Smaller than either my W12 or my prior 2000 A6 4.2. I do like that battery jump type terminals are back under the hood again and easy to find; D3 was trunk only.

Thanks. I took some good phone pictures of build sticker and got one squared off. Stored among my many pics, but I also printed it in correct approx. size and glued it into maintenance manual.

I believe the delivering dealer is supposed to stick them in the book, but someone has gotten lazy. My book has no delivery stamp either, and only when I remembered to ask the to enter first service they had done (for first owner) did that get stamped in. When the car is built, there are several sets of the stickers. One goes in back. Another goes in the book. I think there is yet another left over. I saw them at Ingolstadt. When car is done coming off the line, the extras are still with it.
