Hello I'm new to this forums, I am willing to get an 2015-2016 Audi a8 3.0 supercharged
but I'm scared that it won't be reliable as I always hear about timing chain engine out problems that costs a ton of bucks
so I wanted to ask if they are reliable or no and the timing chain problems are common in what mileage usually and how to avoid it
and in general are these cars reliable or problematic ?

Best advice is a variant of first reply. By doing your own homework, help yourself identify and conclude what likely issues are. On a forum of course always expect more "problems" than in the total real world base.

With that in mind, start going down the post index screen from newest and back a year or so. By then you will probably find most issues (and pluses) on owners' minds. Frankly better and more systematic than getting a few random answers from a much smaller subset who even open your post, let alone reply. If you want to know about supercharged 3.0T in general, it has been used for almost a decade on many or most models of Audi longitudinal motor layouts. If it is 8 speed tranny and quattro, essentially all applicable.
