Hi
I have an Audi A8L 2014 and I am struggling to connect via Sim Card(s).
I have entered different Sim Cards (6 different providers and all work in a mobile ) and I have also connected with a rSAP (Samsung) phone. They all connect and display the provider and 3G sign for now longer than 2 minutes before disconnecting. Whilst connected? I cannot make phone calls or connect to Audi Connect or google earth. It is as if there is a code or IMEI that is blocking connection.
Anyone help?

With these kinds of questions, it's important that you state your location. Audi connect works differently in each country. From your profile it looks like you are in the UK. Based on the information I found for the UK any compatible SIM card should work as long as it has telephone and data option or a smartphone supporting rSAP as you tried already. Sounds like something is borked in your MMI. Are you the first owner? I would recommend you perform a factory reset of the MMI, especially if you are not the first owner to get all the settings back to their defaults and then try again. Factory reset can be performed from the main menu and then Setup MMI.

I just bought a CPO'd 2015 A8L and initially wanted to go with an AT&T SIM card since they're my cell phone carrier. I went into the AT&T store and they weren't able to complete the setup for me. What I learned with I called AudiConnect directly, I needed to setup the SIM directly through them. Additionally, I had to keep the same carrier as the car was originally setup with, in my case it was T Mobile. The dealer could setup the car for AT&T but would charge me $130 for that work. Not worth it in my opinion but that might shed some light as to why this caused these issues with you.
